8mm & Super 8 films are captured digitally using our flicker-free system which eliminates the flashing light which is dramatically noticed when transferring old films with a regular home movie projector and video camera.
EDITING: After transferring your films we will review and eliminate any video that is dark and unnoticeable. Blurry or poorly composed film will be kept.
BRIGHT & DARK: We will also attempt to brighten or darken scenes which are under or overexposed.
COLOR CORRECTION: We will color correct areas which are saturated with color. Different reasons can cause a film to look red or bluish in color. It could be the type of film, the chemicals they used to develop or simply the age film. We will attempt to make adjustments for the colors to appear normal.
SPEED CONTROL: We change the film speed to a normal setting. Occasionally film cameras were not set properly and recorded at an incorrect speed causing films to appear too fast as they ran through the projector. Some home movies look similar to the old vaudeville comedies.
TITLES: The first opening title is included with your order. Additional titles are always nice to include before each film reel to describe the years and events. Titles are $2 each.
FILM CLEANING: We use a lubricant to clean and protect your films. Cleans dust particles, seals scratches and prevents further damage. Preserves your films by allowing the film to become flexible and not brittle. Allow your films to look their best before being transferred. .5 cents per foot of film.
MUSIC SELECTION: If you decide to include audio with your films we can provide instrumental music or you may provide us with your own personal audio selections from personal home library. If you use your own music, the films must to be for home-use only because of audio copyright laws.
NUMBER EACH REEL: Please number each film reel so we know the order they should appear on the video.
REPAIRS/SPLICES: With age films can break or an old splice can lose it's hold. In the event of a break we make the repair or slice. $2 for each repair.
DVD CHAPTERS: With or without titles to describe each reel we provide each DVD with chapters for each reel. So you can either choose to play the entire collect of films or jump ahead to view a particular reel.
